PROGRAM STUDI ILMU KEPERAWATAN FAKULTAS ILMU KESEHATAN UNIVERSITAS AWAL BROS BATAM Skripsi, 20 September 2022 Muhammad Putra Hidayat Perilaku Caring Perawat Yang Dialami Pasien Berdasarkan Teori Swanson Di Ruang Rawat Inap Rumah Sakit X Batam 125 Halaman + 1 Tabel + 1 Skema + 10 Lampiran ABSTRAK Caring adalah suatu tindakan yang berhubungan dengan menghargai, mengerti, dan tanggung jawab. Dalam pelayanan keperawatan masih banyak ditemukan sikap perawat yang belum melaksanakan perilaku caring secara optimal. Data survey di Indonesia menunjukkan perilaku caring mayoritas rendah dilakukan perawat sebanyak 56,3%. Studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan di Rumah Sakit Swasta yang ada di Kota Batam, didapatkan bahwa perawat jarang mendatangi pasien, berkunjung ketika melakukan tindakan saja, dan kurang lama berinteraksi dengan pasien. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengeksplorasi pengalaman pasien terkait perilaku caring perawat yang dialami berdasarkan teori Swanson di Ruang Rawat Inap Rumah Sakit X Batam. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Pengumpulan data dengan wawancara mendalam semi terstruktur yang direkam menggunakan handphone terhadap 7 partisipan sesuai kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi dan proses analisa data menggunakan analisa data Creswell. Hasil penelitian didapatkan 3 tema yaitu, menumbuhkan keyakinan dan kepercayaan kepada pasien, menunjukkan sikap profesionalisme kepada pasien, dan memberikan informasi dan memberikan dukungan kepada pasien. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ditemukan dalam analisa data, bahwa para perawat sudah berperilaku caring sesuai yang ada di teori Swanson, namun dari pengalaman partisipan belum semua aspek dari proses caring Swanson tergambar dalam penelitian ini. Diharapkan kepada peneliti selanjutnya, dapat menggali keseluruhan aspek pada teori caring Swanson, atau bisa membuktikan menggunakan teori yang lain terkait perilaku caring yang diberikan perawat. Serta peneliti selanjutnya dapat melakukan penelitian dengan fenomena yang sama namun, dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif, agar didapatkan hasil penelitian/informasi yang baru dari penelitian sebelumnya yang sudah dilakukan. In nursing services there are still many attitudes of nurses who have not carried out caring behavior optimally. Survey data in Indonesia shows that the majority of low caring behavior is carried out by nurses as much as 56.3%. Preliminary studies conducted at private hospitals in Batam City, it was found that nurses rarely visited patients, only visited when taking actions, and did not interact with patients for a long time. The purpose of this study was to explore patient experiences related to the caring behavior of nurses experienced based on Swanson's theory in the Inpatient Room of Hospital X Batam. This research method uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Collecting data with semi-structured in-depth interviews recorded using mobile phones to 7 participants according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria and the data analysis process using Creswell data analysis. The results of the study obtained 3 themes, namely, fostering confidence and trust in patients, showing professionalism to patients, and providing information and providing support to patients. The conclusion of this study was found in the data analysis, that the nurses had caring behavior according to Swanson's theory, but from the experience of the participants not all aspects of the Swanson caring process were depicted in this study. It is hoped that further researchers can explore all aspects of Swanson's caring theory, or can prove using other theories related to caring behavior given by nurses. And further researchers can conduct research with the same phenomenon but, using quantitative methods, in order to obtain new research results/information from previous research that has been done.
