Abstract
Kata kunci: Perencanaan Persalinan, Pandemi Covid-19 Covid-19 spreading really fast in Indonesia. Covid-19 knows no boundaries, it could attack everyone without exception, including mothers and infants. During the pandemic, health services should continue to function optimally and safely for patients and midwives with various adjustments based on Covid-19 handling guidelines or health protocols. The process of health services during the pandemic underwent various changes, such as the delivery assistance process carried out during the pandemic. Maternal mortality and newborn deaths in Indonesia are still the main challenges, especially during the Covid-19 disaster. The IMR in the Riau Islands was 6.4/1,000 live births in 2019. This figure can be said to be very low compared to IMR data from surveys like the national IMR data, which is 32/1000 live births. The city of Batam therefore considers it important to optimize the function of midwives in health services for pregnant women and infants during the Covid-19 pandemic, especially in planning safe delivery. This study uses a qualitative design. The research approach is carried out through case studies. The conclusion is that the implementation of delivery planning in Batam City itself was carried out in accordance with good and correct health protocols. From the stage of pregnancy to family planning, the implementation of Covid-19 prevention was performed with PPE, followed by an antigen swab and a rapid test. In the case of a Covid-19 case, procedures were provided to prevent the spread and protect the safety of mothers and infants. Keywords: Birth Planning, Covid-19 Pandemic
