Abstract
ABSTRAK Kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada anak menjadi masalah kesehatan yang sangat penting untuk diperhatikan. Pentingnya praktik membersihkan gigi dan mulut yang baik dapat disampaikan melalui pendidikan kesehatan tentang keterampilan menyikat gigi dan mulut melalui metode demonstrasi dengan media phantom, agar anak mudah menangkap dan memahami informasi tersebut. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan melalui demonstrasi dengan media phantom gigi terhadap keterampilan menyikat gigi pada siswa kelas I di SDN 007 Sagulung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu praeksperimen dengan jenis one grup pretest posttest. Sampel berjumlah 26 responden dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu cluster random sampling. Data diolah dengan menggunakan uji wilcoxon. Analisa univariat hasil pemeriksaan sebelum diberikan pendidikan kesehatan didapatkan 26,9% keterampilan baik, 73,1% keterampilan kurang, dan setelah pendidikan kesehatan didapatkan 92,3% keterampilan baik, 7,7% keterampilan kurang. Hasil bivariat menunjukkan ada pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan melalui demonstrasi dengan media phantom gigi terhadap keterampilan menyikat gigi dengan selisih nilai rata-rata sebelum dan setelah dilaukan pendidikan kesehatan adalah 13,50 dan P-Value 0,000 (<0,05). Disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan melalui demonstrasi dengan media phantom gigi terhadap keterampilan menyikat gigi. Disarankan untuk sekolah dapat membantu proses pendidikan kesehatan khususnya kesehatan gigi dan mulut dengan diadakan jadwal secara rutin 1 kali dalam seminggu menggosok gigi disekolah sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan kebersihan gigi dan mulut. The importance of good dental and mouth cleaning practices can be conveyed through health education to clean teeth and mouth with demonstration methods, so that children easily capture and understand the information. This study was conducted to determine the effect of health education through demonstrations using the phantom tooth media on brushing skills in grade I students at SDN 007 Sagulung. The research method used is pre-experiment with the type of one group pretest posttest. The sample is 26 respondents with a sampling technique that is cluster random sampling. The data was processed using the Wilcoxon test. Univariate analysis of the results of the examination before being given health education obtained 26.9% good skills, 73.1% poor skills, and after health education obtained 92.3% good skills, 7.7% poor skills. The bivariate results showed that there was an effect of health education through demonstration using dental phantom media on tooth brushing skills with the difference between the average scores before and after health education was 13.50 and P-Value 0.000 (<0.05). It was concluded that there was an effect of health education through demonstration using the phantom tooth media on brushing skills. It is recommended for schools to help the process of health education, especially dental and oral health by holding a routine schedule once a week brushing teeth at school as an effort to improve skills and oral hygiene.
